Tacoma high-school teacher charged with child rape

High school is a place of trust and respect between teachers and students. I don’t understand why a teacher would cross that line. It is bad enough that there are predators outside of the safety of high school no one should have to experience that at school.

If you have the urge to take away someones innocence pause and think about what you are doing. You will change this persons life forever. They will be haunted by smells, images, memories, and your lasting violent act. It is not easily forgotten. It is a scar and burden they will carry forever.

Stand Tall

Sometimes you need to pause and reavaluate. You need to look in the mirror and see who you are. I did that this past week. I realized my worth.

This was forced on me when I was excluded from something that I so wanted. It turns out all I wanted was acceptance for who I am. I was forced to look myself in the mirror and I realized that it was their loss.

I may only be seventeen but I am a fierce force. I am strong. I am smart. I am a good person. I am a leader among my peers and community.

I am proud of my heritage. I am proud of who I am. I am proud to be me.

Never forget never forget your roots, they will hold you up when someone tries to knock you down.

I Need Feminism

I need feminism because the belief still exists that feminism is a way for women to destroy men rather than a way for men and women to have equal opportunities in their lives.

I need feminism because my job application should be a judgment of my skills and not my gender.

I need feminism because there are people who think, “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke does not promote rape culture.

I need feminism because the belief still exists that men should hide their emotions and that women are too emotional.

I need feminism because rape is still joked about.

I need feminism because I’m tired of children being subject to gender roles i.e. blue is for boys and pink is for girls.

I need feminism because my emotions and the expressing of my opinions should not be blamed on my period.

I need feminism because anyone should be able to cry without being told to “man up” or to “not be such a girl”.

I need feminism because people should be able to wear whatever they want to express themselves without being afraid or seen as “asking for it”.

I want to save the world.

I want to save the world.

I want to save it from suffering of failed race.

To pull the shrapnel from the solders that turned their backs
The soldiers that yearned to go home.

To reconstruct the faces of those who were to brave to shield the eyes.

Piece by piece removing the torn and mangled shards of hate and
stitching the taters of this world into what it once was.

Pity, even in the search for peace our hands are bloodied.

Tackling the Roots of Rape By FRANK BRUNI

In this article in The New York Times,  Bruni talks about the male mindset and classes to educate men and women in the military on rape. Click below to read the article.

We need to re-educate and stop shaming and blaming victims of a crime.

In our society people tend to blame the victim of a crime. She dresses to sexy. She wears a lot of makeup. Everyone knows she’s a slut and sleeps around. This is wrong and society needs to re-educated itself. It’s time for classes to teach boys and men right and wrong and give them modern days definition of rape.

Sex is not something you are entitled too it is something that is beautiful between two people in love.

Rape according to Websters dictionary,” unlawful sexual activity and usually sexual intercourse carried out forcibly or under threat of injury against the will usually of a female or with a person who is beneath a certain age or incapable of valid consent” is out of date.

Should one joke abut rape?

Why would anyone post a parody about rape. There are so many things of value you could do. Rape is not a joke. I say shame on you for posting a sick joke.  It’s time to go back to kindergarten and learn right from wrong.

Below is a link to Gabby Dunn of CNN article about this sick video and how it similar to the Steubenville rape case.

No one has the right to rape.
